.... I just happened to discover the Aroliner Fan Club web site. My Father originally purchased a 1974 Aroliner "Speedaire" with a 50 hp Evinrude with power tilt and had passed it along to me. My family is getting bigger and I would like to get a bigger boat.
Because the boat is in great shape and has always been stored inside since new, I would like to sell it to someone who appreciates this make of boat. It has a full floor and my dad says that between the hull and the floor, it is filled with styrofoam so the boat is will not sink if it were to take on water (which it doesn’t). Anyhow I thought I would send you some pictures so there could be shared with other members and maybe someone might be interested. Thanks
Dave
Editors Note: (Aug2010) The design is basically a "Debonaire" or runabout type but the hull looks closer to a Convaire size (fatter=taller/wider) and has been branded as a "Speedaire". Originally "Speedaire" model name was used for 4 prototype hydroplanner racers. Later on in the 50s the model name was used for a Debonaire hull but only 15 ft. long. This picture is the first Speedaire that has surfaced and that uses a larger hull than the better known Debonaire. Note amidship depth ! Pictures show it in Beautiful condition. |
